The needle does not move
- Check that eTuner may use the microphone: on iPhone and iPad in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone, on Android in Settings → Apps → eTuner → Permissions.
- Play closer to the device, one string at a time, and let the note ring.
- In a quiet room, lower the Noise gate in the app settings; in a loud room, raise it.
The wrong string is highlighted
Choose your instrument and tuning from the button at the top of the tuner. Tap a string to lock the tuner to it; tap it again to return to automatic detection.
String check
- Pluck each open string once, firmly, and let it ring for 3 seconds without touching the strings. Let the previous string go quiet first.
- Freshness compares each string with a check made when the strings were new. Log your string change from the instrument page and check the new strings right away: that check becomes their reference. If your strings are new but the change is not logged, tap My strings are new: use as reference.
- An unplugged electric guitar is very quiet: hold the phone close to the strings, or near the amplifier's speaker.
- Measure in the same room and with the same kind of pluck each time; the results are compared with your own strings, not with other instruments.
Remove ads
The one-time purchase is in the app settings. On a new device, or after reinstalling, use Restore purchases with the same Apple or Google account. Payments and refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play.
Advertising choices
Where a consent form applies, you can reopen it from Settings → Privacy options in the app.

La lancetta non si muove
- Controlla che eTuner possa usare il microfono: su iPhone e iPad in Impostazioni → Privacy e sicurezza → Microfono, su Android in Impostazioni → App → eTuner → Autorizzazioni.
- Suona vicino al dispositivo, una corda alla volta, e lascia risuonare la nota.
- In un ambiente silenzioso abbassa la Soglia di rumore nelle impostazioni dell'app; in un ambiente rumoroso alzala.
Viene evidenziata la corda sbagliata
Scegli strumento e accordatura dal pulsante in alto nell'accordatore. Tocca una corda per bloccare l'accordatore su quella; toccala di nuovo per tornare al rilevamento automatico.
Controllo delle corde
- Pizzica ogni corda a vuoto una volta, con decisione, e lasciala suonare per 3 secondi senza toccare le corde. Prima lascia che la corda precedente smetta di suonare.
- La freschezza confronta ogni corda con un controllo fatto quando le corde erano nuove. Registra il cambio corde dalla pagina dello strumento e controlla subito le corde nuove: quel controllo diventa il loro riferimento. Se le corde sono nuove ma il cambio non è registrato, tocca Le corde sono nuove: usa come riferimento.
- Una chitarra elettrica non amplificata suona molto piano: tieni il telefono vicino alle corde, o vicino al cono dell'amplificatore.
- Misura sempre nella stessa stanza e pizzicando allo stesso modo; i risultati sono confrontati con le tue corde, non con altri strumenti.
Rimuovere la pubblicità
L'acquisto unico si trova nelle impostazioni dell'app. Su un nuovo dispositivo, o dopo una reinstallazione, usa Ripristina gli acquisti con lo stesso account Apple o Google. Pagamenti e rimborsi sono gestiti da App Store o Google Play.
